The legendary American Imperial Stout: This is the famous Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. In the 18th century Catherine the Great, Empress of Russia, ordered a stout to be sent to her from England. It needed to be strong and hoppy enough to survive the sea voyage, and Russian Imperial Stout was born. Brewed since 1994, our Black Chocolate Stout has itself become a modern classic, heralded the world over. It achieves its dark chocolate aroma and flavor through the artful blending of six malts and months of aging. Properly kept, it will improve in the bottle for many years. There is nothing better to enjoy with rich desserts, fine cheeses and roaring fireplaces. Beer Profile: Malts: Domestic 2-Row, Caramel, Wheat, Chocolate Malt, Black Malt, Roasted Barley, Black Barley. Hops: Willamette, Fuggles. IBUs: 46. Original Gravity: 24.5 degrees Plato. For information about tours and events, visit BrooklynBrewery.com. The Brooklyn Story: Journalist Steve Hindy dodged bullets for six years in the Middle East in the late 1970s and 1980s. He returned to New York at the urging of his wife and two children in 1984 and settled in Brooklyn. Steve started brewing beer at home, a hobby he picked up in the Middle East from American diplomats working in strict Islamic countries where alcoholic beverages were forbidden. With his Brooklyn neighbor, Tom Potter, he quit his job and started Brooklyn Brewery, the first successful brewery in Brooklyn since Schaefer and Rheingold closed in 1976. Today, Brooklyn beers are sold in over half the United States and more than 20 countries around the world. Famed Brooklyn Brewmaster Garrett Oliver and his team brew an ever-growing portfolio of beers for every palate, that run the gamut from traditional to boundary-pushing. While in New York City, please plan to visit the Brooklyn Brewery and the company store. For more info on general public hours, tours, and private events, visit BrooklynBrewery.com. Stone® Go To IPA. North County San Diego. Hop-Burst-ing. A technique wherein an irrational amount of hops is added during the final phase of brewing to coax out intense flavors and aromas without imparting harsh bitterness. Six 12oz bottles. A vibrant hop-bursted session IPA. Stone Brewing Co. "Not for the faint of heart, [stone's] bold brews have a strong & fast-growing fan base." Brewed in north county Fan Diego. "Stone brewing... has quickly established itself as a craft brewery to be reckoned with". -Democrat & chronicle Rochester, NY. "The most popular & highest - rates brewery ever." Beer Advocate Magazine 2008. Brewed to be enjoyed within 90 days. Check bottle necks for enjoy-by date! Enjoy fresh. 4.5% Alc/vol. 12 fl. oz. Stone® Go To IPA™. A vibrant hop - bursted session IPA. Since day one, we've been abundantly forthright and fully transparent about our lust for hops. It's led us to craft many an IPA, most of them imperial-some intense for their time and all timeless in their intensity. For Stone Go To IPA, we are embracing our hop obsession in a new way, funneling an abundance of lupulin-borne bitterness into a "session" IPA delivering all the fruity, piney character of a much bigger IPA. To accomplish this, we employed "hop bursting," a new technique wherein an irrational amount of hops is added during the final phase of the brewing process to coax out extreme flavors and aromas while also imparting a burst of desirably pleasant bitterness. The result is an alpha-acid-rich beer that fans can enjoy more of without missing out on the assertive hop character you, like us, crave. So, sit back and go two with your new everyday go-to IPA and bask along with us in the glory of the almighty hop. Ale brewed with spices, aged with French oak, and with natural flavors added. Bottled in 2011. 10% alc./vol. Aged with French oak. Bottle refermented ale. Inspired by the great Belgian brewing traditions of Trappist monks established over the centuries, Unibroue 17 was first brewed in 2007 to celebrate our brewery's 17th anniversary. However, the overwhelming success of this specialty brew made it obvious that we could not let such a great ale slip into the anonymity of retirement. As testimony to its remarkable flavor profile which increases in complexity as it ages, the original batch bottled in 2007 was awarded an international platinum medal three years in a row, and the prestigious title of World's Best Dark Ale when it was well past three years in the bottle! So in 2011, we proudly brought back this French Oak aged, bottle refermented dark ale, with the Grand Reserve appellation as a fitting endorsement of its exceptional quality for aging. Brewed only once a year, in limited quantities, and individually numbered brasseur bottles, this is truly a flavorful delight for the specialty beer enthusiast. Tasting notes on www.unibroue.com. World Beer Championships, Chicago USA: Beverage Testing Institute: Platinum 2011. World Beer Awards: London, UK. WBA: World Beer Awards: World's Best Dark Ale 2010. 10% alc./vol. Brewed and bottled by Unibroue.

Stubby bottles. Most beers this dark are so heavy-duty, you could eat them with a fork. Not Session Black. It's a premium dark larger, for sure, but it's also totally drinkable. Crack one open and you'll see: Not every dark beer has to drink like a meal. Have a good session.
